Hire Rebecca
Ok, I just finished watching the latest finale of The Apprentice.
Trump, I can't believe you let it end like that. You had two great and equal candidates and the opportunity to make it a new ending, to be the biggest Apprentice ending ever.
And Randal decided to keep the celebrity light on himself. It appeared as though he thought the show was over and he ran to the waiting fired candidates for his moment in the sun. When he had the opportunity to be magnanimous and to say "Yes, I really do respect my teammate so much that she also deserves the opportunity to shine in the Trump organization", he said no. It really came off to me as though Randal's real personality might be different than the one he's been showing Trump and the audience for the last 13 weeks.
And really, anyone can have 5 companies if you have the money to pay the registration fees. I'm starting two this week. So in another month, I could have 10 companies, so I should get Randal's job! Rebecca had started a non-profit company for charity, instead of lining her own pockets.
If Trump doesn't hire Rebecca, I think MSNBC should give her an hour long business news show. She's got personality, education, the look of a reporter, and a following.
Trump, please show that you're the business man that you've always been and don't let an excellent candidate get away. Just think, by tomorrow morning, one of your long time opponents will likely be calling her to check on just what the terms of her agreements are with you and to see when she's available.
And think about how Randal acted. Consult with George and Carolyn, because from what I've read about how you are as a Winner, I don't think that Randal's behavior was very Trump. He had nothing to lose in saying yes, other than having to share some of the focus. I'd like to think that if the situation had been reversed, Rebecca would have been a better winner.
And really, it would have been the BIGGEST finale yet if you had hired them both.
Here's to Rebecca for playing a great game, and to her bright future.
And not to go off on too much of a tangent, but lately "business consultant" is becoming synonymous to Stand-up philosopher.
